iSlice App Review

Back when I was simply doing freelance work I was a member of TalkFreelance, a forum for freelancers (focusing on design/web design/development). Back then a few names stuck out within the community, one of those being Josh Buckley. I have followed him on Twitter for a while now and he has just brought out a new iPhone app called iSlice.

New! Lifestream Map

You can now see where I have been and what I have been up to using my Lifestream Map. This is really just an alternative way to see what I get up to day to day but on a map.

It’s been a few month’s in the pipe line but finally I have launched the new feature on my site. It has been on the site for a few months, but hidden from view while I ironed out various bugs and performance issues. You can now see geotagged entries from my Lifestream on my Lifestream Map.

Magento 1.3: PHP Developer’s Guide

The good people at Packt Publishing have asked me to review their new book ‘Magento 1.3: PHP Developer’s Guide‘. Hopefully this will be the first review of many. It’s Fixed – Another New Design

If you have previously been to my site, you will notice another change. What can I say? I like to keep things fresh around here in at least one department and that’s definitely not content.

This time I have gone for a fixed navigation/header, although unfortunately it isn’t fixed in Mobile Safari sadly (iPhone/iPad/iPod). This is something I have been wanting to do on a site for a while and ending up using what was going to be an April Fools joke and modified it into what you see before you now.

If you don’t remember the old design, or haven’t seen the site previously… I have gone to what you see now from the below design.

I have a few nice things in the pipe line. A few new features for the site, as well as a book review or two.

Feel free to leave me a comment with any feedback on the new design or suggestions about how I can improve it.
